At Lancashire Adult Learning we know how important Volunteers and Carers are in creating stronger communities and providing essential support to those who need it most. We recognise that being a Volunteer or Carer can be tough, but also hugely rewarding and we’re here to help and assist you along your journey as much as we can.
Whether you’re considering becoming a volunteer, or already have a wealth of experience, we have a range of courses that could help you to develop new skills or enhance existing ones. We can also help you to find local volunteering opportunities and provide advice and support.
Working as a carer can often be demanding and sometimes overwhelming. We can assist you to feel more confident in your role through a variety of short courses tailored to meet the needs of carers. Our courses aim to improve and enhance your skills, and to create awareness and understanding of issues affecting carers. Along with our courses, we can also offer practical advice and help connect you with our many partners and support services that are on offer.
Our Volunteers and Carers courses are available at venues across Lancashire. We have venues that we already use or if you wish we can come to you and run courses in your community venue or workplace. We also run several residential visits throughout the year, allowing carers a chance to enjoy a much-needed break while learning new skills and meeting like-minded people.
