Additional Learning Support

Learning Support

We want all of our learners to achieve their full potential and will support you to do this. If you have a disability or difficulty that may affect your learning, please let us know as the Learning Support Team may be able to help.

We can:

  • Talk to your teacher about how they can best support you in class.
  • Provide assistive technology such as coloured overlays, magnifiers and hearing loops if required.
  • Make referrals for specialist assessments e.g. for exams or dyslexia.
  • Arrange for a Learning Support Teacher to work with you in or out of class.
  • Arrange for a Communication Support Worker for signing and note taking.

External support

Please let us know at the time of enrolment if you have planned to come with your own support. We will need to discuss this with you before you come on the course.  We have an excellent Learning Support Team and to ensure we meet your needs we would prefer to provide our own trained and qualified Learning Support Teachers who are fully aware of the educational standards we have to meet to ensure your success but we can discuss this and decide on the best option together.
