Lifetime Skills Guarantee
What is the Lifetime Skills Guarantee?
The scheme, which is part of the wider £2.5 billion National Skills Fund, is designed to help our country build back better after the pandemic. The qualifications in the scheme have therefore been carefully chosen to help adults improve their career prospects and meet the needs of the economy.
Do you qualify for the Scheme?
The guarantee allows us to offer a range of courses to any adult meeting the criteria below:
- Are 19 or over and do not already have a level 3 qualification
- Already have a level 3 qualification or higher but earn below the National Living Wage annually
- Already have a level 3 qualification or higher but are unemployed
If you’re aged 19 or over, you could access a level 3 qualification for free. This is part of the support available from the government to help you gain the skills you need to get the job you want – whatever your stage of life.
A Level 3 qualification is equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or diploma, or A levels.
