This qualification is aimed at a range of learners who are thinking of working in a school setting. This course is ideal for anyone wishing to progress onto teaching assistant training. Learners do not need to be working or undertaking practical placements to take this qualification.
The Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges has been designed as an introduction to the knowledge and understanding needed to work in a school or college environment. It can apply to the many varied roles that full and part-time support staff may fulfil, including administrative roles, site support roles, technical roles and volunteer roles, as well as roles that work directly with children and young people in the learning environment.
This short course has been designed to give you an insight into working in a child related field whilst gaining an introductory qualification. (Entry Level 3 Award in Childcare) Completing this award will enable you to explore this area of vocation and begin to develop the skills and confidence needed to work with children. By doing this award you should be able to progress onto further educational opportunities more specific to either childcare or working within schools.
