    This course has been designed as a progression from the Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Schools qualification, and will provide learners with the key knowledge and understanding needed to work in a school or college environment. There are a range of roles available within the sector and career pathways could include; administrative roles, site support roles, technical roles, volunteer roles, and roles that involve working directly with children and young people in a learning environment.

    This free course (for Lancashire residents) will provide learners with the knowledge and basic lifesaving skills needed to assess and respond to a child or infant that is unresponsive and not breathing. The skills will include how to deliver cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a child and baby and how to access and use a defibrillator. Learners will also be able to recognise and treat choking. This course can be accessed either as a live online course or alternatively in a classroom face to face.
