Myths debunked about returning to Education as an Adult

Are you aged 19+ and thinking about getting back into education to retrain, upskill or find employment? Is there something holding you back from taking that first step?

There are a lot of myths and preconceptions surrounding getting back into education after a certain age and we’re here to debunk them.

  1. Am I too old to go back to education?

No age is too old to come back to study, we have mature students who have studied with us and gone on to successfully achieve their goals. We have experts available who can offer information, advice and guidance as well as financial support for anyone looking to find out more about starting one of our programmes.  

2. Will going back into education be like going back to school?

Our modernised spaces are very different to school and it is equipped with the most-up to date resources and facilities to be able to provide students with everything they need to study independently and feel as though they are in a mature studying environment.

3. Will going back into education as a mature student mean getting yourself into debt?

We have appropriate experts available to offer financial support and there are plenty of options that could help you to fund your chosen course and, in some cases, depending on your circumstances some courses may even be free.

4. I don’t meet the entry requirements for the course I want to study, is there any point in me applying?

We are here to support you and guide you, even if you don’t meet every entry requirement specified for the course you’re looking at studying, we will work with you to support you to be able to get you to where you’d like to be. 

5.I have commitments at home and work, can studying fit around my circumstances?

We have part-time and flexible study options available and experts who will be able to help you tailor your studies around your work/home life, enabling you to still undertake your studies and achieve your career goals.
