The aim of this programme is to introduce learners to the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, and some of the approaches that underpin the use of these skills.
This 12-week programme designed to introduce you to the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to use counselling skills in everyday life and work, and the approaches that engage in helping to interact appropriately. Developing knowledge around a person-centred approach, safeguarding and the communication skills required in developing a career in a counselling capacity.
This course does not qualify learners to practise as a counsellor.
The programme was designed in collaboration with a range of stakeholders to create an introduction to counselling skills to prepare learners for progression into the level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills. Many of the skills developed during this programme can be used in everyday life in a number of roles, if you are looking to progress intro counselling services as a career, this is a good introduction for progression initially into level 2, level 3 and HE.
This programme is designed for any learner that wants to gain and understanding of autism and the principles of supporting autistic individuals. This programme aims to develop learners’ understanding of autism and the principles of supporting autistic individuals - covering the person-centred approach and influence of positive communication methods, how to support positive behaviour, and how autistic individuals can be supported to live healthy and fulfilled lives.
These may be learners who wish to access this training with a view to progressing to further qualifications or employment within health and social care, to complement other qualifications within health or health and social care, or to develop in their current job role within health and social care.
