    This course is designed for learners seeking the skills and knowledge needed to work in the world of business particularly the accountancy sector. It provides learners with the underpinning knowledge that is required by employees to work in a range of different environments which require bookkeeping. You may choose that you want to work for an organisation, or become a self-employed bookkeeper once fully qualified.

    The course will cover a wide range of subject areas to give you a great insight into bookkeeping. This will enable you to learn new skills or upskill your current skills and qualities.

    You will develop essential knowledge of how to carry out bookkeeping techniques such as understanding bookkeeping transactions including income, expenditure, profit and loss. You will also explore the software associated with bookkeeping.

    Once you have completed your first level qualification and complete further qualifications you can apply for an adult apprentice, or go into employment. There are currently around 30,000 jobs in the North West related to financial accountancy with the average salary averaging £32K once qualified.

    Whilst you are qualifying, you could expect to earn around £13 per hour.

    After enrolment you will be given details to access our Moodle platform. This is not an automated response; you will be emailed by one of our tutors within seven days of enrolment** You will need to have access to the internet and the Microsoft Office Excel package to complete this course. This online course is designed to introduce you to Microsoft Excel and ultimately allow you to have the knowledge and skills for you to be able to create a spreadsheet incorporating basic formulas. It will provide you with the foundation skills needed to progress onto more advanced Excel courses. It is also a great opportunity to develop confidence with your general digital skills to support you in everyday life. The course is accessible using our online Learning Portal - Moodle You will be required to read and complete some pre-course documentation in order to access the full course.
