    This Level 3 course is carried out online, over 15 weeks. Sessions for March 2023 are Wednesday and Thursday 9:30am - 3:30pm
    During the 15 weeks, you will undertake both theory lessons and practicals, online. There are 2 practical track days and a Drug, Alcohol and Medical Screening that you will need to attend. These are noted on your timetable.

    You will be provided with Approved Personal Protective Equipment and become competent in Safety Awareness and Manual Handling. All these, will be under the watchful eye of our friendly, approachable, Qualified Trainer/Assessor - Stephen White.

    Providing you complete the NVQ, sponsorship with an employer and Drug, Alcohol and Medical screening successfully, you will then continue your journey and undertake the Employer-led Safety critical courses (Personal Track Safety / Track Induction Course) PTS/TIC to enable you to work on Network Rail Infrastructure.

    During this ONLINE (TEAMS) Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) session, you will meet College staff and the Railway Programme Tutor. Please read all information before clicking enrol.

    The IAG session will last approximately 2 hours, including your online initial assessment.

    We will provide all the information you need to decide about the Railway Maintenance training opportunity we offer and the type of work available in the industry.

    We will ensure that you are suitable for the programme, are eligible for funding and you will undertake an English and Maths assessment whilst here to ensure you are prepared for the demands of the NVQ Level 2 course.

    We will cover ID requirements and information regarding the Drug and Alcohol Medical screening that takes place on the programme.
