How do I book a stall at this event? 

You can secure a stall at our event by completing our booking form, please CLICK HERE to complete the booking form.

Please note once you have completed the form, we do ask for a £20 fee to secure your stall, this includes a table and two chairs.

You can make payment by calling Student Services on 01282 440209 or 01254 389933 alternatively, you can call into either Main Reception Nelson and Colne or Accrington and Rossendale College between 9am – 4pm.

Restart a Heart Day 2022 Events

In aid of Restart a Heart Day 2022 on Sunday 16th October, Lancashire Adult Learning are running FREE events across Lancashire to help you learn life saving CPR skills!

Find your nearest event below and drop in to help us to support British Heart Foundation’s campaign to create a nation of lifesavers!

  • The Cornerstone, Sulyard Street, Lancaster, LA1 1PX – Tuesday 18th October, 1:00pm – 3:00pm
  • Leyland St Mary’s Community Centre, PR25 1PD – Thursday 20th October, 10:30am – 2:30pm

 

There is no need to book onto these events, simply just drop in!

Raising Aspirations for South Ribble and beyond

Join us at Raising Aspirations for South Ribble and beyond! A FREE Careers, Employment and Education Fair . 

If you are currently looking for employment, seeking a career change, or want to upskill to develop your career, this is the event for you! 

 

What to expect on the day?

When you arrive, you will be greeted by friendly staff from Lancashire Adult Learning, the Job Centre Plus and South Ribble Borough Council.

There will be employers attending on the day with a variety of different job roles available, including Health and Social Care roles, Hospitality, Customer Service and more. Lancashire Adult Learning are running short sessions to support you with:

  • How to Approach an Employer
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Managing Stress and Anxiety
  • English and Maths assessments

There will also be Application Stations where tutors can help you with online applications for jobs with employers on the day. If possible, bring copies of your CV with you to help when you are speaking to employers.

Staff from the Job Centre Plus will be available to support you with any questions or concerns you might have. If you do have a Work Coach, you will be given a time to arrive at the event.

There will also be supportive services attending on the day to provide assistance with areas outside of job applications, such as your health, wellbeing, and financial support.

 

If you have been invited by the Job Centre, please book onto this event with your Work Coach. If you do not have a Work Coach, come along to find out how we can help you to raise your aspirations!

How to find us:

Bus route

The M3, M4 and M5 buses all stop outside Brierfield Library. The Leisure Box is a 5-minute walk from Brierfield Library.

Train route

The East Lancashire Line stops at Brierfield Train Station. This line runs from Colne to Preston, stopping at Burnley Central, Nelson, Accrington and Blackburn. The Leisure Box is a 2-minute walk from Brierfield Train Station.

 

What to expect on the day?
