King’s Coronation Event

Celebrate King Charles III’s coronation with Lancashire Adult Learning!

Come along to a recruitment roadshow delivered by Lancashire Adult Learning, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, and find out about the jobs available. We’re looking for people with the right qualities rather than qualifications or experience as full training will be provided.

Managing The Menopause Event

Are you interested in finding out more about managing the menopause in life and work?

Join us on Tuesday 25th April 6:00pm, – 8:00pm for our FREE online event!

During this session, you will gain an insight into the menopause and develop an understanding of how and why this affects women all over the world, every day. You will learn how the Menopause can affect women both physically and mentally, alongside learning how you can deal with this major life transition in a positive and pro-active way.

Engaging in discussions throughout the session (through paired and group discussions), you will be able to share your thoughts and experiences. This will help to reassure you that you are not going through this alone and share valuable advice which will help you through this phase of your life.

Sow and Grow Events

Fancy giving ‘grow your own’ a go but not too sure how to get started?

It doesn’t matter if you are a planting pro, have a balcony or window box to get your seeds shooting! Our FREE online Sow and Grow events will give you top tips to make the most of your space.


Join us on Saturday 29th April 10am – 11:30am for our live sowing session and get your seedlings started with practical advice and support from our teachers.

Would you like to get involved with your children? Our Sow and Grow for Families is perfect for those with primary school-aged children. Happening on Saturday 29th April 1:00pm to 2:30pm, this session will include seed planting and sowing, as well as arts and crafts activities using natural materials you can find in your garden or while out on a walk.

Railway Maintenance Information, Advice & Guidance Events

Are you interested in a career in the rail industry?

We offer an 8-week programme that allows you to work on railway tracks in a maintenance and construction capacity and sets you up for an impressive career in the industry.

Our OUTSTANDING teachers have extensive experience on the railways in a variety of positions and you even get to learn at our dedicated rail track facilities. Courses run throughout the year in Accrington and Preston.


Why not find out more at one of our Information, Advice & Guidance sessions?

During this IAG session, you will meet College staff and the Railway Programme Tutor. The session will last approximately 2.5 hours. We will provide all the information you need to decide about the Railway Maintenance training opportunity we offer and the type of work available in the industry. We will ensure that you are suitable for the programme, are able to access funding and you will undertake an English and Maths assessment to ensure you are prepared for the demands of the NVQ Level 2 course. We will also cover ID requirements and information regarding the Drug and Alcohol Medical screening that takes place on the programme.
