  • Award in Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3
    First Aid
    The Emergency First Aid at Work course will enable you to act as an appointed person and to take charge of the First Aid arrangements, including looking after the equipment and calling for the Emergency Services, along with specific first aid situations. The course is accredited by Qualsafe and is suitable for low risk environments. All learners need to be able to undertake a 20 question multiple choice test paper and undertake practical assessments on the floor.

    This qualification is valid for 3 years with the recommendation to refresh every 12 months. There is also an option to do this as a non-accredited course, First Aid for Adults (Intermediate), with a college certificate, for anyone that doesn’t require the accredited certificate for work.

    Course Overview:

    During this course, you will expand your knowledge of colour theory and how colour reflects and affects your mood through cultural and experiential associations. You will explore different ways to achieve colour and explore the elements of art and composition as well as some to explore some basic painting techniques.

    This course is designed to serve as an introduction into colour theory and composition. You will engage in a range of guided explorations in different media to further your understanding and practice in observing and recording colour for different purposes. Learners will get acquainted with further key phrases and more basic vocabulary to have the opportunity to get by in the target country and to enjoy the travel experience. In addition, learners will be introduced to some practical information which is useful to travel safely and with more confidence.

    Some of the areas may include a few basic aspects of the language to get by such as greetings and introductions, eating out, directions, booking accommodation and medical emergencies.     This Level 3 course is carried out online, over 15 weeks. Sessions for March 2023 are Wednesday and Thursday 9:30am – 3:30pm

    Nothing quite says Christmas like putting a hand-made wreath on your front door. With tuition from our teachers, you’ll be creating your own festive wreath using greenery that you have gathered yourself from your garden or other accessible green spaces.
    As an extra Christmas gift, Lancashire Adult Learning will be posting a wreath making kit out to you, containing all of the resources you will need to take part in this course (with the exception of greenery, foliage and flowers.)
    The course is 2.5 hours per week/session and is delivered over 1 week.
