Level 2 Certificate in Information, Advice or Guidance (EQUAL)

Course Overview

This programme is aimed to support learners who work or volunteer in an advice role, in a range of areas from careers guidance or pastoral support in schools or colleges, to supporting clients in areas such as drug or alcohol rehabilitation services; with family or confidence issues and clients who require domestic abuse support. The focus is on determining the Clients requirements and ensuring relevant signposting or referral to other agencies

What Will I Learn and How Will I be Learning?

You will be expected to complete a series of online assignments which will be set by our teachers. These will be in units to allow you to work through each one in a streamline manner.

You will be completing work in relation to each unit, which a range of activities and questioning to allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding. You will complete this online using the online platform. 

Entry Requirements

English and maths would be a benefit at a level sufficient to study level 2. This is due to the amount calculations and written evidence required.

In order to attend the course, learners should be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English at Level 1 and above. Learners will also need a good level of IT skills to be able to access and navigate the learning platform and keep in contact with their personal tutor.

Learners will need access to a computer, laptop or tablet device with access to the internet. 

The setup of this course enables learners to study independently and flexibly at times convenient to them.

All learners will need to enrol online prior to any course starting through the online enrolment portal.
