Start your new year in style with leisure, wellbeing and Functional Skills courses at Lancashire Adult Learning

Adults right across the Red Rose County have the opportunity to learn a new hobby, improve their wellbeing, or gain valuable Functional Skills qualifications for employment with Lancashire Adult Learning.

A brand-new range of brilliant courses for Spring 2020 has just been revealed, and as always, LAL’s offer to adult learners across Lancashire is all encompassing.

Leisure courses are offered in everything from Arts and Media to Health and Wellbeing, Digital to Languages, and Humanities to Horticulture.

For adults looking to enhance their career options or who have a desire to get ready for the world of work, there are Functional Skills courses offered at community venues right across the county in English, Maths and ICT, as well as a Work Clubs and Employability sessions.

A series of adult advice events will be held in East Lancashire in January for visitors to find out more about the courses on offer. These will be held at:

  • Nelson and Colne College on Tuesday 7 January, 5pm-7pm
  • The Waterside Centre Accrington on Wednesday 8 January, 11am-3pm
  • Accrington and Rossendale College on Thursday 9 January, 5pm-7pm

At the events, information will also be available on Higher Education through the College Group’s University Centre and a wide range of Professional Skills qualifications for anyone looking to upskill, new career, update their professional credentials.
