Families can get into the festive spirit with Lancashire Adult Learning and Nelson and Colne College

Families wishing to get into the festive spirit can do so at a special seasonal market hosted by Lancashire Adult Learning and Nelson and Colne College.

A Festive Market at Nelson and Colne College will take place on Saturday 9 December from 10am until 2pm and there will be no better place to start your celebrations.

Visitors are in for a treat at the free to enter event, where they will be able to explore a wide range of stalls selling seasonal crafts and gifts and tuck into festive fare at a winter food court.

Children will have the chance to meet Santa and his reindeer in LAL’s grotto and there will be musical entertainment throughout the day and a visit from Burnley FC mascot Bertie Bee.

There will also be the opportunity to take part in a variety of ‘have-a-go’ taster sessions for courses run by the Lancashire Adult Learning team – and you can pick up a copy of the new course guide and sign up for a course on the day.

Principal of Lancashire Adult Learning and Nelson and Colne College Amanda Melton said: “Our Festive Market promises to be a fantastic way to start the Christmas period and there will be lots of seasonal activities and treats for the whole family to enjoy, as well as an array of entertainment. We look forward to welcoming families through the doors on the day.”

Lancashire Adult Learning’s new course guide is out now, and is packed full of courses to help adults across Lancashire learn a new skill, enhance their social life, or develop their career prospects. During the Festive Market, adults will also have the perfect opportunity to speak to LAL’s expert staff and enrol onto courses in time for the New Year.

Lancashire Adult Learning delivers a huge range of planned provision across the Red Rose County, from Arts and Crafts to Humanities classes, Languages to Health and Wellbeing sessions and Employability courses.
