Classes are launching at Costa Coffee outlets in Burnley (Tesco Extra), Chorley, Lancaster, Lytham St Annes, Preston and Rawtenstall (New Hall Hey) the week beginning Monday 9th October.
The classes offered vary at locations across the county but include Get to Know Your Tablet, First Aid for Children and Babies, Live Well – Feel Better, Balance Your Life and Relax and De-stress.
Also offered are French, German, Italian and Spanish Beginners language sessions, British Sign Language, Drawing and Painting and Creative Writing.
Karen Wignall, Head of Curriculum at LAL, said: “We’re always exploring new ideas and initiatives to deliver our public programme at the heart of communities across Lancashire.
“The opportunity to learn within a relaxed café setting is perfect for those who may not feel comfortable attending a class in a formal learning environment or those where a formal learning environment is not convenient.
“We are putting on a really diverse range of classes at varying destinations from our public programme, including Arts and Media, Health and Wellbeing, Humanities, ICT and Languages sessions.
“For full details on class venues, dates and prices, I would encourage learners to visit www.lal.ac.uk and click on the Costa Coffee and Pop-Up College link or call 0333 003 1717.”
Anybody interested in joining these classes can pre-book in advance to secure their place or turn up on the night. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
