Hundreds of events will be taking place throughout Lancashire to help residents get internet-savvy during Get Online Week.
Lancashire Adult Learning will be out and about throughout the county from 17th to 23rd October to show how the internet can make life easier, cheaper, healthier and more fun.
Teachers will be on hand in local libraries with tips on subjects such as how to keep safe on the internet, as well as signposting residents to relevant courses, including Learn My Way, ICT Functional Skills and Google Digital Garage – which are designed to help learners of differing abilities.
So if you’re already online but feel you should know more, or are worried about online fraud or safety, pop into the library to find out more about the benefits of being online for hobbies, shopping, keeping in touch, work and managing your money.
